Key Responsibilities:
- Access control and secure the premises, including entrances, exits, and high-value merchandise areas.
- Greet customers with a professional and welcoming demeanour.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, and other potential risks by maintaining a strong security presence and staying alert to suspicious behaviour.
- Collaborate with store management and staff to ensure a smooth and safe shopping experience for all clients.
- Conduct regular security checks, including CCTV monitoring and perimeter patrols.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, following established procedures.
- Maintain detailed reports of security incidents and daily activity logs.
- Assist in loss prevention strategies and support the store in inventory control processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid SIA license.
- Previous experience in a security role, preferably in retail or luxury environments.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of security procedures, loss prevention techniques, and incident management.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and behaviour in line Alma standards.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security services in the UK and abroad. The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of operations, staffing, and serves as the main interface between clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage daily security operations, including domestic and international assignments, ensuring consistent service delivery.
- Consultant Sourcing & Management: Identify, assess, and onboard consultants for specialised security tasks. Maintain an up-to-date database of security consultants.
- Pre-Deployment Preparation: Conduct pre-deployment briefings for consultants and ensure teams are well-prepared for assignments.
- Team Welfare & Reliability: Act as a point of contact for deployed consultants, ensuring their welfare, reliability, and commitment throughout their deployment.
- Operational Planning: Develop and maintain operational plans, assignment instructions, and health and safety briefings. Ensure teams are equipped with the necessary resources and training.
- Emergency Procedures: Maintain and update emergency procedures for deployed teams, including medical and evacuation plans.
- Client Engagement: Communicate with clients on operational security matters, provide detailed briefings, and ensure understanding of risk assessments, security plans, and client expectations.
- Operational Reporting: Manage the creation and distribution of regular and ad-hoc reports for clients.
- Logistical Support: Respond to deployed teams' requests for logistical and operational support, ensuring timely and effective assistance.
- Invoicing & Supplier Management: Prepare client invoices, review and approve consultant and supplier invoices, and negotiate with suppliers as necessary.
- Training & Compliance: Support internal and client training, ensuring all team members are up-to-date on compliance and operational standards.
- Business Development: Actively engage in client relationship management and contribute to business growth.

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with experience in the security or risk management industry.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO27001 helpful
- Must be competent using IT

- Lead and manage the performance of the operations team, ensuring clear objectives and high productivity.
- Select and manage consultants to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Planning
- Plan and oversee complex operations, balancing strategic and tactical needs.
- Ensure team activities are aligned with long-term operational goals and client needs.
Analysis & Risk Management:
- Analyse operational challenges and implement risk management strategies in line with ISO 31000.
- Intellectual curiosity: continuously update knowledge of international security best practices and trends.

- Set and exceed operational goals, contributing to the overall success of Alma.
